    Traditionally, keyloggers were either software that needed to be installed on the target computer or devices that were connected to the target computer. With the advent of wireless keyboards and due to their popularity, keyloggers no longer have to be installed or attached to the target computers.

    Being President of the United States certainly has it perks for Obama. He already got a brand new set of wheels with all the hi-tech gear. We all know that he is very keen on his BlackBerry phone. He has been photographed with it so many times during the election campaign. But an ordinary phone can be a security risk. It can be hacked and its contents viewed, communications intercepted or its location identified. So, he is getting a new phone. And not just any phone.

    IBM recently demo’d AppScan Developer Edition to a few of us at AppSec Consulting. There used to be a DE edition of AppScan some time ago, but that was more of a scaled down version of the standard version, allowing only localhost scanning and a subset of tests. The new DE is different in what it does.
